The QN990F is Samsung's flagship TV model for the year 2025. It is an 8K Neo QLED TV with a 240Hz refresh rate (in 4K mode) and a Glare Free coating. It also faster performance, useful AI-powered features, new version of Tizen OS, and Wireless One Connect Box for a mess-free installation.
The TV uses a VA panel with Mini LED backlight and 8K resolution. It has a 120Hz variable refresh rate in 8K mode and a 240Hz refresh rate in 4K mode. It has inky blacks, similar to OLED panels, thanks to thousands of backlight zones. It has HDR10, HDR10+ (Adaptive and Gaming), HLG, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro. The screen has Glare Free coating to reduce glare and reflections.

The QN990F also has Filmmaker Mode and Expert Calibration modes for those who prefer accurate colors. For gamers, the TV brings features like Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM), HGiG, and variable refresh rate (VRR). It can display four videos side by side in the Multi View mode.
Samsung's flagship TV for 2025 has a pretty good onboard speaker setup featuring 6.2.4-channel speakers. Thanks to built-in woofers and up-firing speakers, you can enjoy Dolby Atmos audio without any additional soundbar or multi-channel speaker setup.
Thanks to Q-Symphony, the TV's onboard speakers can work with Samsung's soundbar or wireless speakers via a wired or a wireless connection, complete with Dolby Atmos. Other audio enhancements include Active Voice Amplifier Pro, Adaptive Sound Pro, and Object Tracking Sound Pro. You can also connect Bluetooth earbuds or speakers with the TV. When paired with compatible Galaxy Buds, the TV supports 360 Audio spatial sound.
The QN990F has a Wireless One Connect Box featuring five HDMI 2.1 ports (one with eARC), one USB Type-C port, three USB Type-A ports, one Ethernet port, one digital optiocal audio output port, and an RF port. You can connect the Wireless One Connect Box to the TV via an HDMI port as well.
The TV also features Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6E, AirPlay 2, DLNA, Tap Sound, and Tap View for wireless screen mirroring and media streaming. The bundled SolarCell Remote contoller can charge using ambient light, which means you don't have to use a USB Type-C port to charge the device.
Powered by the NQ8 AI Gen3 Processor, the Samsung QN990F offers a 30% faster CPU, 2.2x faster GPU, 2x faster NPU, and 38x more neural networks (for AI processing) compared to last year's flagship TV. This improvement in performance allows the TV to offer AI-powered features like the following:
The TV runs Tizen OS 9.0 with One UI Tizen interface, Daily Board, Daily+, Multi Control, Samsung Health, Samsung TV+, and Workout Tracker. It also features Alexa, Bixby, and SmartThings Hub (with built-in Matter Controller hub).
It has built-in Samsung Gaming Hub with Amazon Luna, Microsoft Xbox Cloud, and Nvidia GeForce Now integration. For gamers, there are other enhancements, including Dynamic Black Equalizer, Mini Map Zoon, and Super Ultra Wide Game View. The TV has ART Mode as well to display digital artworks.
